Do you have hot Cocoa and hot dogs. In case it is a wee bit cool ? :)

Rich,
We always have hot dogs and work with the weather. Hot coco
would be required when the weather dictates so ...
If the temp. is low the coco must flow.

Even if you don't have a plane to ROW with there is space to do some park flying. Of course current AMA is required for the weekend fliers.

Ah jeez, AMA i need some money, i hope i get my job soon, i am trying to get into float flying, since im getting into lipo and BL im gonna use my Brushed stuff to test out floats and learn to fly off the water, ive got a nearby pond(sorrounded by trees but ill manage ;) ) to do some ROW with and if the plane tips, well its just a brushed esc but i'll waterproof everything, ive always wanted to do do float flying, especially when im out fishin on a boat, get bored bring out the ol' float plane! I would love to be at one of these rc thigns, Neat Fair, SEFF(most likely not) or this float fly in thing.

Well 4hrs roughly from my place to there, ill have to convince my parents to drive, me(their not much interested in my hobby bummer).

GreenAce92,

There is always hope that your parents will take an interest in your hobby.

Four hours of driving each way is probably a 500 mile round trip. Using 25 miles per gallon a 500 mile trip will use about 20 gllons of gas. Gas at $3.50/gallon = $75.00. Add any tolls, food etc and the trip could cost your parents over $150.00.

Are you a menber of AMA? Do you have an RC club in your area? If you do, you should join and see if there is a club member that might have the same interedts as you do. The price of gas is going to change a lot of things. Gas in connecticut is up $.62 in thte lst 3 weeks wirh no end in sight. Locally we expect gas to be $4.00/gallon by Memorial day.

I belong to a local camera xlub. Next Saturday we are going on a field trip to photograph a waterfall in western Massachusetts. Who ever drives starts with a full tank of gas. At the end of the ffield trip we fill the gas tank again and split the cost among the riders. The driver rides free.

I hope you get to the floa meet.
