I'm trying to get more throw from my control surfaces....I have already moved to the lowest hole on the horns on the surfaces and the outer most holes on my current servo horns AND I am over driving the servo with my radio...BUT I'm still not getting enough. Am I doing something wrong???? OR
Does anyone know where I can pruchase large servo horns for Hitec HS-55 micro servos????
Appreciate any and all help....Thanks
Diego

Servi City also has longer arms but you can easily make your own. I got the idea from the GP YAK55 so I just bought some 1.5mm plastic sheet from the train section at the LHS. Just thin CA a regular small arm to the plastic after roughing up both with some sandpaper... I drill a larger screw hole in the plastic extension. Here's a pic:

That looks really good,:D I made some for some futaba servos before just cut arms and threaded it with thread and a small screw with some CA glue worked really good.
You can find some really nice carbon fiber horns at Atlantahobby.com as well.

I made some arm extensions out of 1/32 ply and ca'd 'em on. I made sure they were secure by scuffing the plastic and wrapping with thread...
Harden the pushrod hole area w/ ca for durability...
can't get much more "cost effective" than that :)

The new HS-55s now come with 2'' servo arms. You can buy Du-Bro 2'' arms for them from most hobby shops though.
