This past March 29th, about 10 pilots got together for 3696 combat at Fort worth, TX. There were also a large gathering of pilots for SSC, 2548, and Open B classes, but these are still primarily glow classes, and very few electrics compete.
3696 was designed to offer a low cast entry scale class, and is primarily for electric powered aircraft. Rules are pretty simple-wing area, wieght specs, and power figures are all limited to promote a more even playing field.
