Hello guys,
Im going to convert a kmp b-25 to electric. Planning to use 2 4130/16 or 20 for power. I want to use 3-blade props (master airscrew).
I have seen topics on both 4130/16 and 20 but don`t know which would be the best for this plane. I also have seen different power for these motors. 6s3p or 8s2p. Since I have to buy 2 of everything, (motors, controls and lipos) I want it to be right from the beginning. The weight will be 15 lbs.

I am planning to use 16/10 3-blade props and jeti 77 controllers.

Can you give me some help on this?

thanks !!

I have experience with the 4130/20 on 8S. I measured thrust and got 4 kg (8.8 lbs) of thrust with an APC 17x8e and 4.4 kg (9.7 lbs) with a MA 16x10 3-blade (6400 rpm). That was with a Poly Quest 8S 4000 mAh battery. It pulled 46.5 A and 1216 W. Way more power than you need in the B-25. I would check out Vario Props if I was you. What's the scale prop diameter?

The problem with the MA 16x10 3-blade is that the hub is so thick that it will not fit in TT spinners, and is too thick to use on the AXI adapter with a spinner backplate. I milled down the hub of the prop by ~2 mm.

I dont know the scal prop size, but I will find out.
If I would go with the Varioprops, what size should I pick? I have only seen them in smaller sizes here in Sweden.

I would try to go for the scale size, whatever that is. The biggest VarioProps so far are 15".

Did you get your B-25 from www.modellhobby.com (http://www.modellhobby.com) ?

I did a search and discovered that the full size B-25 had 12 foot props. The KMP model is roughly 1:9.5 scale so that means ~15" props are scale. www.aircraft-world.com (http://www.aircraft-world.com) have the 15" Vario-Propscale prop blades in stock, but are out of the three-blade hubs at the moment.

I guess that the 4130/16 will spin that prop nicely on 6S but I haven't tried that particular combo myself so I don't want to make any promises.

I did buy the plane from modellhobby.com, havent got it yet, at the moment working on a 1/5 GS mustang from Top Flite, using Actro 60-175, spinning 26"15 2-blade, going to test 24" 4-blade from Soloprops.
