Which one is the better 3D plane?

Hobby Lobby Reflex or E-Flite Edge 540 BP

Both are profile, balsa, 3D capable park flyers.

The Reflex is lighter but I don't know if that is necessarily a reason to call it better. I am looking for a bird that will KE, KE loop, and spin/flat spin better than the other. I am mastering KE on my Typhoon 2 but the coupling is pretty severe and it is just too heavy to KE loop with the geared 400 stock motor.

Your advise is appreciated.

This really doesn't apply. I am looking for a comparison between the two planes in my OP.

Thanks though!

Ok: I can only comment from experience on the Typhoon and the Eflight Edge.
The Typhoon stock is not a 3D plane, more Pattern with a bit of energy managment.
The Eflight Edge tends to snap with 3D throws and low speed. Never a good thing when you are low.... and low and slow is how good 3D is done

Looked @ the Reflex, a little low on the wing area 300sqin is considered min for 35" wingspan see if Hobby Lobby can give you the thickness of the wing at the tip. Hard to tell in the pictures it looks a bit thin.

All my hard core 3D ships have very little wing taper, this avoids tip stalling and wing rock in high alpha flight.
Here is my current 3D profile hanger in Glow, MoJo 60, Primo 40, Fusion 40, Edge 40,
In electric Indoor two Edges one from 3DX one Electrifly (heavy with lots of fiddly parts)
Electric outdoor Skeeter 30 and 36, Fancy Foam Yak
Try to look outside the mainstream for 3D planes I find the cutting edge resides with the small guys working out of their homes. The planes are well thought out, light, and no comprimise 3D flyers. Some like the Chinn Yak are so loose that even some of the better 3D flyers find them a handfull.
If you are stuck on two examples listed go with the lighter choice and get the lightest airborne gear possible, leave off the landing gear and hand launch
Good luck 3D is lots of fun. Post your plane when done.
Look me up on the Proflile Brotherhood same handle
