Is anyone runing a Himax 2025-4200 with 4.4:1 gear ratio on it with around a 1320 prolite pack?

I would like some numbers of driffrent props people are useing on this motor,as this is whats in my delta and I want it to go faster.

Thanks

Is it a pusher? How heavy?
Go Direct Drive!

I use the same motor with a 1500/11.1v Kokam but took the gear box off. The 4200 is a good motor for direct drive vs. the 5300, it won't run too hot.

I have it set up in a homemade delta tha weighs about 15oz. total and it is absolutely balistic.
You can use 6X3 down to 4.5X3 props. Check mfg's GWS, APC, Cox for props also the stock prop for the Great planes Slinger (5X3.5 ?) works good as well.
5" props seem to work best; fastest with lower temps.
You will also need a 2mm prop adapter.

This seems to generate decent speed yet stay within the ~13A limit for the 1320 pack.
Motor: HiMaxx HA2025-4200; 4166rpm/V; 0.75A no-load; 0.075 Ohms.
Battery: Thunder Power TP1320; 3 cells; 1320mAh @ 3.7V; 0.033 Ohms/cell.
Speed Control: Castle Creations Phoenix 25; 0.0065 Ohms; High rate.
Drive System: Direct; 8x8 (Pconst=1.31; Tconst=0.95) geared 4.4:1 (Eff=95%).
Airframe: Anything you want.
Motor Amps = 12.3
Motor Volts = 9.8
Input (W) = 120.3
Motor RPM = 36762
Prop RPM = 8355
Thrust (oz) = 14.3
PSpd (mph) = 63.3

Cheers, Phil

Edit:The motor can be run at up to 25A - so if you got a 10C 2600 pack or parallelled two 1320's you could maximize your output.
