Well I fried it. But I see this as a great start to my winding career! I'm heading down to AC Moore tomorrow to pick up some 26 gauge copper wire, probably in black for that "stealthy" look :). I'll be winding it in a "AabBCcaABbcC" fashion aka an "LRK" wind. I'm still reading up on some stuff, but I think I got it down. From what I've read with 26 gauge wire I should wind 23 turns. Correct me if I'm wrong too guys, I'm horrifically new at this. That's why I'm posting this "wind log", so you guys can laugh at my mistakes :).
Thanks,
Mike

Now, I've just found this (http://www.powercroco.de/schemamodus12Naussen.html). This is a "Delta" wind. Supposedly this is an easier wind. Yet why does this look exactly the same as the "LRK" wind? Well as of right now looks like I'm winding it up in a "Delta" wind with 23 turns of 26 gauge wire.

First step is to unwind the motor counting the turns.
Measure the wire and that'll give you a idea of what you need to do for what you want the motor to do.

If it's anything like the Park 250 I had the windings are coated and unremovable.

Yea, I've started unwinding them. Its hard to get off, but my exacto knife helps. Didn't finish yet so I'm going to start counting.
Thanks,
Mike

Got a little done. 22 turns with 28 AWG wire. Dunno if its gonna perform but its my first and I've got plenty of wire to rewind it http://static.rcgroups.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif.

I think if you use 3 or so smaller AWG wires together when winding the motor it will put out more power than it did stock. But im not 100% sure..........anyone........?

Mike'Delta' and 'star/wye' are not winding diagrams, they are hookups/configurations. First you wind your motor in a certain winding diagram, then you connect the 3 phases in star or delta.

Yea, I was confused. But it runs now so it worked I guess :).
