So, I just bought a battery from A Main Hobbies, twas on sale. PreTek 3s 3000mah for $47
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/2_389_409/products_id/19353

Now, apparently I failed to even think about dimensions on it. As it is 135mm (5.3inches) according to the page, compared to my other batteries at 110mm or 4.3 inches.

This is also apparently too long to fit the canopy back on my Trex 450se v2...

Any ideas???

Hey Tony -- unfortunately, that's a common mistake. Don't feel too badly about it.

My suggestions:

Send it back for replacement/refund.
Use it in another project.
Sell it to someone else.
For what it's worth, I highly recommend the Hobby City "Loong Max" (otherwise known as "Zippy K") batteries!

Does anyone know which Zippy will be a good replacement for the Align battery? I'm having some issues finding an appropriate replacement and I don't want to have to buy another Thunder Power battery at their prices!

why not just get a canopy that you don't care about too much and cut a hole for the excess battery to stick out of? lol

Chellie,
I checked there before! I could not find an appropriate size battery to use with the G-force.

gaak,
Size matters! It will throw off the balance point and reduce flight time.

You generally get what you pay for with batteries. That pack is only 15C (if that). For a quality battery, this is what I run in my TREX 450...

That's just another $75 battery. For that, I'd buy another FlightPower. We've all heard great things about the LoongMax, and Zippy batteries. I just want to find one that fits my Trex 450SE V2.

Just go with what you know works, you get what you pay for with lipos. Can't go wrong the TP, Outrage.

Another option. The ones we have in stock have the Deans installed at the factory. ABF 3-2100 C20 (http://www.slickzero.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ABF-3-2100-C20&Category_Code=Li-Poly)
