View Full Version : "Sky Arrow" Grounded

Finally gave up with floats on my "Sky Arrow".
After many attempts I could not resolve the nosing over problem so I took the floats off and installed wheels.
It's been an interesting engineering/aerodynamic challenge but at least I'll finish the flying season in the air instead of in the water.

That's a beautiful plane Don. Sorry the floats didn't work out for you. Good AP platform though.

Thanks, but actually I last year and the year before it did fly off the floats.
Seems like when I made significant changes itkeot getting worse, go figure.

I think that when I installed more powerful motors that's when my problems got worse.

Next year my float plane is going to be my E-flite Taylorcraft450 with floats from http://www.geocities.com/planefunfloats/ , they are balsa covered over foam and look really good, at a very reasonable price.
