Got a Graupner Speed 600 for a Chrysalis sailplane. The instructions say it's internally suppressed for noise. Anyone had noise problems NOT using external capacitors? The solder tabs are not marked for polarity, is the one near the red dot positive? TIA, Gino

Hello Gino,
I don't know if the 600's are the same, but the 300's and 400's are internally suppresed, and yes, they need it.
If you look into the slots at the back, you should see (3) small capacitors soldered near the the sides. Two will be the same size, usually light brown. One will be slightly larger and a different color.
The red dot is positive. You can tape the wires before soldering to see if this provides counter-clockwise rotation, on the smaller motors it will.
Good luck!

You're welcome, Gino,
Hope you get the Chrysalis flying, it's a good glider. I've seen the 2 meter E-Powered version fly and it's a real thermal hunter. You may get a stiff neck watching it for a 1/2 hour at a time!
