I tried flying the planes for the first time yesterday and I'm not sure if my controller or what, but they are impossible to fly. One tiny movment on the stick and they're doing 2000 rpm snap turns.
Anyway, here are a few heli models for FMS. Unzip to the FMS/Models dir.

That is the way the planes fly on FMS, you have to fool with the settings to make it proportional, I forget what I did. Without doing that, every touch puts in a full surface command. Try flying the DDust...
The Debonair shouldnt be that hard even with full commands, try that one.

Hi KRS,
The heli's Motions listed are great. I have a bunch more if you would like them. I have the UH-1 Huey and several other scale gunships, and some large scale heli's If you want them feel free to pm me with your email address and I will send a bunch to you.
Regards,
Jay

Do those heli's fly anything like the real thing?

Fly?...Not reallly. FMS is a wonderful tool to learn orientation and hovering but the flight models are not 100% realistic. You can use it to learn forward flight but it won't be exactly likr the real thing. To get a realistic sim, you'll have to step up to Reflex or G3.

I was afraid of that Motions. I have been playing with the Trex on FMS and it just seems too easy to be "real."
I don't have a heli at the moment. The last one I had was a Schulter Engstrom .60 with fixed pitch about 1979. That should give some inkling of it's level of sophistication. I might get one on the 1M rotor span range later this year though.
Keep 'em hummin'
