I hope this is the right place to ask this question, please feel free to correct me if this is misplaced.

Anywayz, I recently totalled my Art-Tech Typhoon, not allowed to post links yet :{ The frame, rotorhead and blades are pretty much FUBAR, and I decided to plunder it for parts.

Since the powerline is mostly intact, I'd like to reuse that, but the motor is unbranded and the specs don't state any specifics, it looks like a 2212, but I'm not quite shure.
Brushless motor: Outrunner
Brushless ESC: 30A
Li-Po battery: 11.1V,1800mAhI'd like this set to drive a foamie from 6mmflyrc/tomhe, an F22 or F15 with a 6x4 prop, would this engine be capable ? And can someone enlighten me on what type of backmount I have to get for it ?

Thanx !

I didnt get any activity with that link. But the link leads to a Typhoon Heli and not a motor. Can you clarify the link or post an image of the motor?

** you need a minimum of 5 posts to embed an image**

Post a photo of the motor, please.

Phil,

The motor that heli has is the same A-T uses in their ducted fans. IIRC it's the B2025-15L

I'm sure that's going to have a fairly high KV as most jet and heli motors do.

On the AT site you get a picture of the 2025-16L (3300Kv) - 20mmx40mm inrunner.

But in post #1 an outrunner similar to a 2212, for which GR needs a "back-mount", is mentioned??????????

You cannot back-mount an inrunner!
