Hi, I'm interested in powering my .40 size Ugly Stick with an electric motor. What do you recommend ? Also what brand of equipment do you recommend as far as motors, batteries, speed controllers, chargers, etc.? I would like the plane to perform as if it had a .46 glow engine.
Thanks, Paul.

There are hundreds of conversions available, but here is one example that worked great in another .46 size pattern plane.

===========================

AXI 2826/12 Motor
CC 45Amp ESC
TP 3S2P 4200mah 11.1v lipo
APC 13x8 E Prop

Total cost of these parts is about 350.00

This plane weighed in at 6.5 lbs with the .46 glow engine, and only 5.5 with the electric conversion. 61inch wingspan, 580 wing area.

Plane was a Graupner Super Air ARF - here is a link to the RCU review of it with glow power: http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=23&CFID=8804991&CFTOKEN=35918539
