Hi,
Just seen on www.pw-rc.com (http://www.pw-rc.com) :

looks like a nice P&P foamy... I bought a Cessna 310 Twin EP fron this site a couple of months ago. Good quality, but I'm not sure of this one.
Anyone knows anything about this Cessna??

I am very interested in this too. I have been searching for it all over and could only find people from china selling it until I saw this site. There are other videos on youtube of it and it looks HUGEEEE! and really cool with the floats. So $210 with a battery +shipping +50 for a spketrum receiver to go with my radio $260+- and she is ready to fly.. not bad for this BIG bird I think I am going to get one :)

Don't forget it's very very light... but at 1500mm it will be a lot of fun. I'm just worried of the quality of the foam... A bad landing and... well, just bring lots of 5 minute epoxy. If you buy it, let us know how it flies.

I have the Guan Li catalina sea plane and it is also pretty big and all foam... it was only $99 so I figured it is practically a throw away as there are no spare parts for it and the foam will explode on impact ( I added a good amount of packing tape protection)... This is a little more expensive but for the BIG size (im a sucker for coolness over performance) and brushless almost rtf I think it is worth it... we shall see...

how was that company for shipping? Are they actually in the US?

Yeah, it's around 60 bucks to ship from Asia... By the way, I have not finished my Guanli Catalina... I just can't find a space for the damn lipo battery. I used 2x 2410-08 on the stick mount. It's been hanging around for months... Did you go brushless with yours? What's your set up?

To answer your question, this company is in Hong Kong I think. The guy's name is Philip, good communications. The Catalina kit he sent me missed the canopy. He shipped it quick. Good service.

Looks like there isn't anyone in North America selling these things... I guess if I decide to get it Ill order from him. Or I can order 10 from the Distributor in Hong Kong then sell them with less shipping here....Sry im a college business man haha...

I just built my catalina last weekend. Im using the stock battery and motors, they seem to be fine for now. But I amn using the Spektrum ar6100e receiver with my blade cx2 lp5dms transmitter. People say the LP on the LP5dsm transmitter is for low power and they wouldnt trust it past 300ft... but worked fine for me so far and I cant wait to use the cat on water! I got the catalina because of its size and thats is why I really like this scale plane becasue it is pretty big and relatively cheap for a big plane (im in college I cant buy the big boys yet)

Looks like I got myself a cessna sea plane :)

I talked with E-DO models the manufacturer of this plane and ordered one sample (instead of a bulk order) from the factory in china.

Cant wait! about two weeks to get here though...

There is no such thing as a good crash....only cool crashes, and that was cool.

Sorry for your loss.
