What is the difference between this and the Phoenix series?

Basically just not as much programming on these but have auto detect for lipo and come with brake disabled.

Yep only two settings you can program brake and LVC cutoff. All most of use use anyway.

Should be great....

Lot of affordable units out there like the eflite, BP, Cool Running and even some straight off the boat from China.
Hopefully they'll come out with larger versions that I can use.
