Do the instructions call for a BEC? Usually it's built into the ESC and you don't need one unless using two motors calls for one.

Steve Hi

a matter of terminology I'm afraid, you are right, escape would be the term, I'm not sure if it should be 35, 40, or more. thanks for replying

ESC = Electronic Speed Control

New language, learning all over again. However, I have downloaded a guide to electric flight so lets hope no more gaffs.

Old thread, but similar topic.. anyone comment on using any of these ESCs (compared to the phoenix) .. Looks like they have 2 amp BECs on most.. I was originally going to buy 2 Phoenix 25's which would have been fine using both of their BECs. I have no intentions of adding a rx battery pack wondering if with 2 of these ESCs on seperate motors, if I am fine without battery rx pack. ( GWS 15amp , bec 2amp $19.95 ( GWS 25amp, bec 2amp $28.50 ( Hextronic 18 amp esc $16.95 x 2, 2amp bec, programmable ( Hextronic 15 amp $9.99 x 2 ( TowerPro 30 amp $22

Any of the castle ESCs come with BECs (3 amps?).. they stated that you can safely have both BECs active at the same time.

I ended up with a T-bird 18 amp esc x 2 for my Xtra 2829/10 motors :)
