I finally had success with another WWI bipe! This plane flys great, and is a lot of fun. The key was to put an insane motor in it! It has more power then I know what to do with but it flys like dynamite.

Going to redo an SE5A if this one goes down, but I see it lasting a long while!

Looks very cool. What did you use for lozenge? It appears painted on - very nice.

Wing span and weight?

Thank you!
I drew up the pattern in sketchup and then used the phlatprinter (http://www.phlatboyz.com/ (http://www.phlatboyz.com/)) to cut it out. Airbrush was then applied to the hole pattern. In fact the entire plane was designed in sketchup.

I have not weighed it yet, but I would guess between 20 and 25 oz.
The wingspan is 40 inches even.

I just got my larger more scale size 3" wheels today and I can't wait to get her in the air again.

Free plans are available in the form of the sketchup file, and I'm even thinking of running some low cost kits of it to sell (airframe only). The entire foam airframe can be made and sent out very cheaply. Is there any interest?

I'd be interested! Especially if the painted-on lozenge pattern is included!
