Here's an interesting model by Dornier. It was on display hoping to draw interst in the full scale community. Too bad it's not in kit or ARF form.
I only question the open cockpit behind the tractor engine, seems like a pusher design would be much more enjoyable.

Great looking Dornier! Here´s a flying boat from the same era with a pusher engine.

I´m not sure whether the Macchi is suitable for an electric conversion. For CG reasons, I guess the battery pack has to be located in front of the cockpit, This will result in long power leads.

there are many paper models of similar planes available .. and they convert nicely to Bluecor sheet foam ..
