Got a astro 20 (about 4 years old), and recently jumped back into flying and was wondering if someone could help. It was a motor that I loved but on of the leads broke right at the can. Anyone ever take one of the apart? cant get it open to repair the lead, is there a trick to it? Just thought I would ask THX!!!

You might want to get a hold of Bob over at Astro to see if they might be able to do something before trying to tear into it, they may have a repair service.

Can you post some detail pictures? (Use macro setting on camera).

I have an 010 which is a short can version of the same motor. I used a sharp wook chisle to gently pry the endcap off the motor so you can see what you need to do. you will need to reattach the endcap with locktite or CA after you finish your repair.

I'll get some pics up this weekend, the motor is at a buddies house. Hey Med thanks I really just wanted to know if I needed to pop the shaft out first or not but seeing that im going to try the "Med Chisle Method" I'll post results and thx guys!!!
