Ouch, who chose the "paint scheme"?

It is Armand de Turenne's Nieuport. Gaudy but authentic right down to the badge.

You need them both, this is a Nieuport 11 and the Eflite is a 17(with brace wires wrong, easy to correct).

I wonder what came off at the end of the first roll? (18 seconds into the video) Didn't seem to effect the flight though!

That was a bird in the background.

Nice plane. It is sort of a gaudy scheme, but authentic is always cool. I'm sure there will be a lot of recover jobs on this one.

I like it. Course I like a lot of color on my airplanes. Wonder how much trouble it would be to make it Capt Harry Gwynne "Flying Fish"?

Dave,

I actually like the beige with the indian a lot. ;-)

However, I think this new one is really pretty cool. My gaudy comment was not meant to say it's bad, it's just loud. Some will be thrilled with it I'm sure. Kinda like some REALLY love the SPAD camo. I'm a huge fan of Rickenbacker, but not of camo. But for a camo plane, it was done nicely.

I think this scheme with a bit of authentic "patina" via airbrush or a wash of thinned down black will be very nice.

I just think that this plane in particular will get a lot of recover jobs no matter what your scheme would have been - seems to be a thing with this particular plane, people really love to get authentic and unique with them. Probably because there were so many different original schemes (unlike a Camel or SE5)

You think I started something by making my Nieuport into the Flying Fish? Makes others want one?

possibly! I'd LOVE to make a fish like yours, it's very cool. I'm just needing to resist. Need to slow down my plane spending budget for a while. Love this hobby so much, I could easily forsake all other hobbies (to a point) to feed the addiction. I'm just going to fly what I've got, and enjoy others builds for a while.

Let me help you resist, I will email the files to anyone that wants them to make the sticker for the fuselage, stars, and eye. Will also email files to use as painting guide for front of fuselage and tail. They fit the Eflite Nieuport but could be made different size with a graphics program.
