Hey I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on a motor substitute for the U-Can Do Flight Flex from Great Planes:

http://www.atlantahobby.com/store/pc/U-Can-Do-Flight-Flex-EP-ARF-2p7766.htm

It comes with a 250 size BB with 5:1 Gear Box.........I have read that this motor gets really hot and you can't push it too much.

I was just thinking I could get some brushless motor to substitute!

Any ideas?

Thanks.

This won't help you much, but mine has an AstroFlight 010 with a 3:1 gearbox... I think the prop is either a 10x7 or 12x6 and I was running the stock 3-cell LiPoly.

Is that bigger or smaller than the stock motor. I know the gear ratio on the stock is 5:1........I was just think I could skip he gear box and put a brushless on it.

The fact of the matter is it probably doesn't matter a whole lot.......I should just buy it, use the stock motor and have fun!

I had the U-Can-Do flightflex and absolutely loved it with this motor:

At $12, the price is ridiculous and performance is awesome. Put a decent 1000mah 3s lipo in there and you'll never get bored.
