Do you get overheating with that big prop? I use the Eflite equivalent and love the motor for 3d foamies but have settled on the GWS 11x7HD prop. I think I tried a 12x6 at one point but it just seemed to run too hot.

How is the discharge on the polyquest. I've had a few bad TP packs and have been wondering about polyq..

I'm runing the Himax Gear box that has the heat sinks on it so it runs normal temp,I have flown same set up w/o heat sinks and the motor did get a little warm but Himax says they can handle up to like 140 I think mine never got that hot. I really dont think the E flites motors are as good as the Himax I could be wrong i never used one so dont really know.

Sorry you got a bad TP pack what size was they? The poly quests are good batterys we got them over winter for this flying season and well I mainley fly the same pack over and voer I think the one has about 52 flights on it and it still seems to be holding up. Like I said I'm runing the Poly Quest 850 3 cell.. we have 5 of the packs and well my father has a CBA unit and runs test from time to time on all our batterys.I fly 3D type of flying and I can get 8 minutes of flying with them. I like the Thunder Power pro lites 1320 packs best, when I put them on my edge it goes like a rocket.

I had a cell leak on a 2100, another 2100 drop capacity dramatically after only a few uses that were way under 10C and a 1320 have a wire break giving intermittent open circuits that I caught RIGHT before takeoff.. sheesh. Then I promptly crashed the replacement and totalled it. I did buy a new 1320 prolite against my better judgement.. just heard too much good things although thats what I heard about the gen2's - so far so good though. Also I must say my LHS has been very good about exchanging the bad ones by sending them in to TP for me. TP didn't want to replace one but the hobby shop took care of me. I'll finish out the season with mostly TP packs and based on this 1320 prolite see what I get next year.. Apogee, Tanic and maybe Polyquest are the possibilities.

oh ya, I got a couple 900 3s packs from http://www.greatthingswa.com/ which is a regular at flyingcirkus.com. I like them for the little eflite motor. very light and take a beating on discharge and my many crashes! They seem to drop voltage siginificantly now 50+ flights later but it doesn't phase them and I still get 12 minute flights with a lot of hovering and some harrier type stuff. thumbs up for only 30 beans each.

WOW,well sorry about your bad luck, there are a few bad lemons out there just like a car I guess, My father got a bad Tp pack also 1320 it just wasnt right and Charlie Wang of TP replaced it for him with no question but my father also tests batterys for Chralie and everyone else on RCgroups that can talk him into doing so lol. The 1320 Pro lite is great its like a whole nother thing I couldnt belive the power I had the first time I straped it to my Edge and went stright up untill my neck was sore, bout a 5 sec motor run it was higher then I like to go.
We also have a Tanic but it doesnt seen to hold up like the others,I like how light weight it is but thats about it.Untill I see something better then the Pro lite I will be flying pro lites from now on once these poly quests and tanics and others are history thats it,no more.Dont get me wrong for the money the Poly quest I think are the best, for the money. If i had to buy my batterys myself thats all I would buy the TP are higher in price.

HAHAHA, wow, well I wish I was in that situation, it'd be prolite (interested in the new 2100 for a Quiet Storm with a 300watt Lehner in it) and a Futaba 14MZ for good measure! :)

Well I'm very lucky,My father loves RC also he the one got me into it when I was 9 years old.So he buys all the battery's and chargers,i just have to pay for my airplanes and servos, speed controllers and stuff like that, sometimes hes nice and lets me borrow a motor or something he has extras looks like a Hobby shop in his Plane room. I also am using one of his old TX. A Hitec Prism 7.

No 14mhz here, thats ridiculous price for a radio but My father just got the Polk's new 99 plane memory TX.

Foamiesrfun, have you ever tried the E-Tec Lipo's? Mike H put me onto them. They seem to have as much power as my Tp 1320's. Ron:D

We started with the E Tec's when we first got the planes from Mike and we have one I fly from time to time not but they dont hold the power like the Poly quests belive it or not. you must beruning the gen 1 Tps not the Pro lites.

*In case someone gets the wrong idea about what I said also we do have to pay for the TP Pro lites I was refering that my father pays for them and I dont have to.*
