Well, I've been out of RC Heli's for a while but recently saw the Tornado. Has anyone here flow it? For $190 bucks RTF that's a decent price. If you've flow it, list the characteristics of hovering, flying...etc.
How about the crash factor??
How about vs. the Dragonfly??

Hi,
If you are looking for a great micro heli, I would take a look at the E-flight blade cp it is about $30 more than you mentioned spending, but it comes with a 6 ch radio with ccpm. I started out with a century hummingbird and I wish they had these out when I started. In the $200 range I don't thing it can be beat. http://dreamhobbies.com steve campbell owner. Steve will ship you one free for $219.00. Whichever you decide, I am sure you will have a blast with it. Welcome back to heli's! Good luck and happy rotoring.

Thanks for the reply I'll check it out....but if it's ccpm, I'm going to assume that it's not bulletproof

If your looking for heli to fly and not travel to hobby shops once every couple days, think about a Tornado.
Hey Dion why is this better than the blade etc I think bigger is better since small helis are quirky & they are more vunerable. I'm intresred in the T-rex 450 series which is built like a tank! these little ones are like toy quality even though they can be fun to fly.

I'll chime in.. I've never heard of a Tornado so i cant help :o.
But... I have both a modified GWS DragonFly (FP) heli and a stock (soon to be de-stockified) E-Flight Blade CP.
For the money you cant go wrong with the Blade. Out of the box its the most stable and durable heli's I've flown (Check out RunRyder or 'other' RC sites for similar reviews).
Having said that... Your choice should come down to: How easy is it to get parts.
Most of my LHS's stock Blade and DF parts.. It sucks to be down a few weeks while your waiting for a $3 part.
Just my .002c.

If this is the Tornado (http://ohiomodelplanes.com/tornado/) your talking about... I'd definitely get the E-Flite Blade CP. Its by a larger company (E-Flight is part of Horizon Hobby), larger parts distribution and a true 6ch Heli. The Tornado website keeps saying 6 channel... but it only has 2 servos (its a 4ch Heli).
