Here some pics of my Hobbico Twinstar conversion. Its flying on 2 Jeti Phasor 30/3, 2 Jeti 40 escs and a single 3s4p TP gen 1 pack. Props are apc 9x7.5 Flies good but will be even better when I go up on the prop size. I'm pulling 30 amps a side, but the battery is holding me back from the motor limit of 40 amps.

John I am converting a Dual Ace put out by Horizon Hobby and made in Vietnam. Am using the Phasor 45-3's with two Jeti 45 plus opto ;s and a pair of Polyquest 4s 14 Volt batteries . It weighs out at 11.5 lbs and is very tail heavy.Have not flown it yet as it came without the nose cone and am awaiting delivery .This is my first attempt so am not sure of what I am doing. We shall see.A better report and pictures when it flies. jayree

JohnnyJetProp, be wary of those Jeti40's they have been known to cut off at 32 amps. See the following discussion:

I lost a C160 Transall twin with these ESC's when one of them cutoff. I returned them to HobbyLobby and they gave me a full refund on both. I'll install Jeti 77's in the rebuild. If tearing them out is too radical please consider some extensive bench testing at the upper end of the power curve to determine whether they will cut out just over 30 amps.

Thanks for the heads up. These are well used units and I haven't had a problem running them at 40 amps except that they do heat up and cut off if you don't have cooling air blowing on them. They are the older red units. I'm looking at going the other way and staying at 30 amps and going with a smaller, lighter pack.
