I would definitely like to see some pics. Sounds like a nice model. I am also interested to see how this works out.
As far as controllers I mainly use Castle but I do have a Jeti 70 that also works very well. I am not sure if eflight makes a 60amp controller but their controllers in general are less expensive.

Thunder 21 shot some video while he was here at the Mid Winter Electrics in San Diego last weekend. I offered to host the video on my website. Here is the link: www.gundersonaerodesign.com/videos/Micro_Stinger.wmv (http://www.gundersonaerodesign.com/videos/Micro_Stinger.wmv). The plane is called the Micro Stinger and was designed and built by Bret Becker. The design is detailed in the thread here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346032.
Thunder 21 asked that I announce the video on this thread.
I was lucky enough to get involved with the project when Bret approached Gunderson AeroDesign to laser cut the solid wood wings.
The video clip shows Bret with the Micro Stinger followed by a short clip of the plane in the air (watch closely!). Finally the clip includes a short segment with an F5B launch (Thunder 21 and I agree, the sound of that motor/prop is hard to beat).

Wow! That was fast! :D

it was clocked over 150 mph not bad 4 a plane running on 1 1320 tp bat and a little screamer out runner
