I finished building a Bonito High Liner powered with an Aveox1015/1Y and a Castle Creations 60 amp. ESC but have not flown it yet. If there is anyone who has flown this model I would be interested in his/her impressions of it. I forgot to mention that is in the hotliner category.

Is this a Hotliner or Glider? I can get this post to the appropriate forum so the correct audience will see it.

I've no experience of the Bonito myself, but it was produced by Multiplex in the late 90's.
Multiplex have a history of constantly updating their range of models so after the Bonito came the Selection, the Lift Off and the Excel. Unless anyone knows better of course......

The photo I sent of this model was held by my grandaughter Maggie..
Both are "Mucho Bonita".
I have just made the move into LiPo after a visit to Toledo this year. I bought a FMA CellPro 4s charger and a 3 cell 1700 ma. battery.
This is a nice charger and has a multifunction display showing operating mode, individual cell voltages, charge current, supplyvoltage, and the amount of charge (mAh) put into the pack. Plus the unique Fuel display shows percent capacity remaining in the pack. At the show they were selling for $60.00 US. a real buy so 5 of us bought them.

Looks like a nice model.

..... a 3 cell 1700 ma. battery.
Are you planning to use just one cell-pack in the Bonito? I only ask because the Bonito seems to be quite a big model, whilst a single 3S1P 1700mah pack (even if thrashed at 20C) will only produce around 300-350 watts. Have you thought of paralleling two pack together so you can double your amp draw?

I had a Multiplex Bonito about 5-6 years ago. It's a nice flying hotliner, maybe a little big by todays standards. If I remember right it was my first full sized hotliner. Came right after a Bandit. Back then I had it set up as follows:
Jeti Phasor 45/3
16 x 1700CP cells
Graupner 14 x 9.5 prop
Jeti 70A controller
AUW was 81 oz. (heavy). Flew real nice, good glide, no bad habits, pretty fast. At that time and with my experience level then I thought it was REAL fast. Fast is relative. Like most Hi-po aircraft pay close attention to your CG and ele. deflection or you could experience some nasty hi speed stalls. Make sure you run spoilerons for landing or have a very large field to land in.
Hope this helps.
