Are the cheap mini-cams, under $200 worth buying. What do you look for in a mini cam, so you know that it will take good pics. I have a Sony digital Video camera recorder, DCR-TRV103. It takes great pictures, what mini cam and wireless reciever would come close in quality? Maybe I am showing my ignorance here and you can't even get close with the quality. Thanks

Define "cheap mini cam". I sometimes use a Nikon Coolpix 3200 on my plane. These are pretty compact, can be had for well under $200, and produce pretty good images if you don't mind 3.2mp. My only AP experience has been with that and a Pencam SD, so I can't comment on other cameras.

The Nikon 3700s on Ebay go for around $200 and great for AP and also do pretty fair video.
