I opened an Align 600 motor and three of these fell out when I pulled the shaft out. Anyone know what they are and where they go?

Not sure Bill. They could be spacers or insulators maybe.

If you post pics of the rest of the motor we might figure it out though.

It will be the part of something you buy because it comes out of the box. So it will be the part of it. Post some more and complete pictures of what you've got then we can give you more update on it.

I was going to respond, but this thread is nearly a year old! :D :D

Naw, those things are insulator forced into the winding area to keep the wire in place. They are inserted on the outside of the winding just below the 'T' of the stator laminations.

If they fell out, IMHO a sign of poor quality.

If I understood they are using those plates instead of glue to hold the windings in place? I have a smaller align copter motor obtained for rewinding although I have not pulled the bell yet. I wonder if I'll find them in this smaller motor?
