Well I put together a few changes to my SSv2. As much as I changed it around I figured it needed a new name being it doesn't look like the SSv2 any more. So it will now be AP Big Stick because it is about 4 foot long and uses the fuse rod of a slow stick with a hardwood stick in the center.

Wing spec:
matterial: blue core foam.
width: 60"
cord: 13"
ailerons:1 1/2"
Carbon Rods: 2- 29" with an aluminum joiner.
Air foil: 1 1/2" at tallest part
wing spar former: is 1" thick which runs the length of the wing.
This former is glued about 2 1/2" from the leading edge
and 3/4 tall

This plane in most part is set up like the SSv2, But when I adding the new wing I made the plane a little longer. It is 1 foot longer than your stock Slow Stick fuse.
Making it 48"/4' + long from tip to tail rudder.
I also changed the Motor setup and gearing.

Motor setup: JustGoFly 450F 3450Kv (http://justgofly.com/Order%20Form.htm#450_Motors)
Red aluminum gearbox 6.3:1
APC 13x8e prop
JustGoFly 2200mAh 3s 15c battery
Amp draw is 26max wot
But in a slow fly mode it is between 2 to 4 amps.

Got a video uploaded: Click HERE (http://media.putfile.com/RC-AP-Stick)to view.
It was late in the evening just before sunset so
it's not as clear as I wanted it to be. But you should be able to get an Idea how well it flys..

The picture of me holding the plane was day of the maiden before I covered the wing.

Pretty neat, I watched the video, that plane can really go vertical fast! Looks like a nice flyer, lands very smooth. I suppose I would need a 35 amp ESC with that motor....

Looking forward to some pics and inflight video when you get a chance.

Thanks......Dave

I added an in flight video done with my AP BIG Stick. It was 160meg but now it is less than 20meg so it want look as good as the larger file. But maybe you can see how well this plane will glide smooth through the air. Let me know what you think.... http://static.rcgroups.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Good video, thanks for sharing. I like watching inflight vids that are smooth and make you feel like your in the pilots seat. Looks like you got the plane where you want it. Now lets see if you can show us some more of Alabama from the air. (is this a dare???)
