I built and flew a powered gullwing sailplane in the mid-60's. I think it was called the Seagull. Wingspan about 48" (but could have been smaller) with an 020 Pee Wee on a pod. It was a tractor.
It was single channel rudder-only using an escapement which I still have!
It was a chunky, but graceful little bird that looks similar to a Berkeley Super Sinbad, but with gullwings.

I'm thinking it was kitted by Guillow's, but I could be completely wrong on that.
I would like to find plans for it if they exist. I'm not much for gluing sticks together anymore, but I have a friend who is willing to scratch build it from plans for a consideration. I think it would be an interesting electric model.
40 years later I'm struggling with a Slow Stick and an Easy Star, but I often think back how much fun that little Gulliver was laying back in the grass on a summer day cycling that rudder.
