I can't believe the weather today. It's warm and almost perfectly calm outside.

I wanted to make a video where I fly over the river, so here it is:

The road has very little traffic, I could hear any cars approaching a km away. :) While flying I walked closer to the river to be able to fly lower but found that I was getting a little too popular with the insects so I walked back.

What a clear video! That looks like a great place to fly. What camera are you using?

I'm using a Nikon Coolpix 3700.

Excellent video in every way, tahustvedt. Most of the better ones I see seem to be Coolpix 3700's. For me, the best ones have a small part of the aircraft visible in the frame. It really helps maintain perspective. The cowling in this photo makes the perspective virtually the same as full scale.

Great job.

I'm using a Nikon Coolpix 3700.

So did you shoot the video at 640x480? What is the frame rate capability at that resolution?

Thanks.

Great video.

Yes the video was shot at 640x480 30 fps. ~14 minutes on a 1 Gb SD card.

Here's a pic of the plane with the camera mounted. There's a plate in the fuselage and a screw that holds the camera on.

It's a GTI MR2. Same engine as the turbo but higher compression and 156 hp.

Here's another one from two days ago. Lots of low-level tree-dodging and some high altitude flying. Nice weather.
