I have a Unionville Hobby Supply Noorduyn Norseman that I am possibly going to convert to electric. The plane's flying weight is 7.5 lbs. with an 85.5 inch wingspan. The recommended glow engine is .40-.60. MotoCalc recommended the MPJet 28/20-7 brushless motor with 10 GP3700, a 3.5 gear ratio, and a 17X16 prop. Is this a good combination? Or would an AXI be better?

I have a Hangar 9 P-40 ARF converted to electric using a PJS 3D 5000 direct drive swinging an APC 17x8 E-Prop, using 2 Poly RC 3700mAh battery packs (1 3s + 1 4s) wired in series and a Castle Creations 110amp HV esc. At 8lbs it flies faster than other H-9 P-40s with Saito 100s and I can get two scale (1/2 throttle) 10 minute flights on one charge. You can see video of my P-40 flying here.

Did you convert this kit to electric? I have the same kit with floats and thinking of building it as electric.
