I bought the G3 months ago, to push me to get and set-up (the fun part, yeah right:eek: ) a new computer. Finally did it. Well, I'm sure I gained some skill, but its not working out as I planned. I'm having too much fun trying to see how much damage I can put on planes, and still fly. The Nexstar flys pretty well like a Blohm and Voss recon plane (half an elevator). The Twinstar flys much better than it should, with an engine out.
Flying the Slinger at the Fun Fly, I found it to be a great target practice plane. The hand launcher (not seen) throws it toward the guy with the radio, but not directly. Its actually a real challenge to hit the guy:eek: . Taking off through the tents, and then looping over inverted and trying to see how close you can straife the crowd through the gaps in the trees is also a meaningless, but entertaining challenge.
Doing touch and goes off of the high slope barn roof at Blach Rock is also a real challenge. You have to kill the throttle and flare at just the precise time. Lining up is tough to, since the depth perception is not 100% realistic. The Fun Fly tent roofs are even tougher to land on. One successful touch-and-go, and a few with a damaged, but still flyable plane. Before that, I tried for 20 minutes flying through all the windmills, and still couldn't hit a one:eek: . Took a half-hour to hit a utility pole at the Fun Fly.
(hitting Alt-PrintScreen immediately at the crash is tough too:eek: )
