Its a Fenix from dymond rc the fully sheeted wing version. It needs some wide glass cloth in the thin forward fuse before starting assembly but thats realy easy lays down nicely. Lots of room for batteries which would have to go in an out thru the canopy. This one is not powered yet.

its in the video i sell at www.HowToThermal.com (http://www.HowToThermal.com)

It must be really cool to experience that type of launch....and really scary I would imagine. I wonder how many "G"s is it pulling with that vertical ascend? :)

I put 22 ounces of lead in the wings out board some what. I broke a glider just like this on a windy day launching with a tow hook under the CG. Ive never failed a wing launching like this. A sig ninja will launch at 110 mph. Electron flying wing did 103 with a shorter bungee. We have fluttered a plane almost to destruction though.

The glider shown weighs 96 ounces but It climbs well in a thermal even against an olympic 2. When flying, staying downwind is easier for a pilot to gain altitude the plane doesnt care. Ive noticed this alot and use it at most contests but so did my buddy and he beat me. I discuss several methods and more in my guide and videos at www.howtothermal.com (http://www.howtothermal.com)
