I'm about to try my first brushless motor setup, using a AXi2208/20 with JETI Advance 18-3p controller.
I'd like to use LiPo cells and the controller has a sticker indicating "Lithium Support" and that it automatically senses the motor cut-off point.
Does this have to be set up in some way for cell count etc, and if so, how? Does the controller have BEC?

hi malcom i use the jeti 8 with axi 2208 34 mostly with 3 cell lipo
but have used it with 2 cell it self adjusts the cutoff the jeti 18
would be the same they are very easy to set up. i also
have a castle phoenix 10 its a good controller but is a pain
if using 2 and 3 cell packs.

It autodetects cell count and yes it has a BEC. The LVC is a bit too low however. Don't fear just time your flights. I never go to LVC on any contoller. Didn't do it with Nicad or NiMh. I just always liked knowing I had power to go around one more time.

I land with plenty left in my batteries, and that helps them too!

Yep in fact it is a must. If the battery is low, it very well may select much too low a cutoff. Good point indeed.
