Hi,

Anyone taken a look at or built the 50" Tiger Moth from E-flightline?

I am looking for a mid size bipe for my next project and saw this on there wed site. www.e-flightline.com (http://www.e-flightline.com)

They have a really nice video of the plane flying.

I am curious how well the plane is built. How light is it built and if its strong. It looks great in the air.

Here is a link to the video. They have a mix of on board video mixed with ground shots. http://www.e-flightline.com/movies/Tiger%20Moth%2050%20with%20pilot.wmv

Any imput would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is the same kit sold by Hobby-Lobby and Green Models. Green is the manufacturer.

See my slowly moving build thread here. Geoff also has posted his Tiggie.

I paid $143 shipped for mine from Powerline hobbies.

Piperfan,
If you Google Pacific Aero .30 Tiger Moth, you should find a bunch of links to reviews, conversions, etc. There was also one in FlyRC about a year ago, I think, by Thayer Symes.

As I understand it, the one Hobby-Lobby sells is basically the same airplane, but already modded for electrics (battery hatch already cut in, firewall that is radial mounted outrunner friendly). The H-L one is done in a different color scheme (silver with yellow trim) than the ones Pacific Aero sells.

To get you started, here's a link to the Pacific aero website:

OK, all the yellow tiger moths are sold out in this country. Does anyone know of a similiar sized scale golden-age bipes with decent scale details? While I would like to build bigger, like Aero-Works stearman PT17 the pocket book says smaller. Any suggestions?
