Is it the BIG Hot Rod,or the Minni? If it's the minni it should work fine! If it's the big one it will take a pretty hot motor to get the performance you need. I use a Himax Outrunner,it has ton's of power on heavier planes. I fly my Flatana on the stock motor,it's ready to fly weight (including battrie) is 7.6 oz. I use a 2s860mh Lipo, and it has plenty of power to do about anything you want. The nice thing about having a hot motor is that you have all kinda of power in reserve. My Fancy Foam Cap 232 will hover at 1/3 throttle. With a 3s 1200mh Lipo, and the Himax Outrunner. The flying weight is around 14oz. Ron:)

I bought my buddy an Ultrafly Outrage and he's flying that at around 10 ounces on the power setup recommended for the Flatouts (had a flatana before) It flies very well on the recommended flatana setup.

rimfire is made for foamies and "most" built ups....as long as the "built up" isnt a pig
