Dear fellow Aero-Modeler,

The Indian River Kontrol Society (IRKS) is pleased to announce one of the best electric flight events in the south, our Southeastern Electric Aircraft Rally (SEAR). It is a two day all electric fly-in held on November 21st & 22nd in sunny central Florida just minutes away from Cape Canaveral.

You should expect to see all aspects of electric flight: 3D, scale, sport planes, park flyers, gliders, pylon racers, ducted fan, helicopters, etc. So, if it is powered by an electric motor and flies please bring it.

Our sponsors/vendors will be exhibiting and conducting demo’s of their products. There will be hourly raffles of prizes they have been donated to the event by our many sponsors.

It will be held at Space Coast Aeromodeling Park, our new huge and gorgeous multi-use facility that can support powered r/c aircraft, helicopters and gliders as well as control line aircraft all at the same time. Our 700+ feet runway is covered in Bermuda grass, which is finely manicured to less than 1”, just like you’d find at Mack Hodges field and Joe Nall. It has been stated by some of our recent guests as probably being the best flying site in Florida. We also have dedicated 400 ft. by 200 ft. grass area just for Foamie/Park Flyers and helicopters.

There were several ideas for creating this event. The first is to promote electric powered flight. Second was to give modelers another opportunity to get together and share their experiences and knowledge of electric flight as well as have a great time. We hope that you’ll come join us!

Please help us spread the word by posting our flyer on your club’s website and at your local hobby shops. We also hope that you’ll come out and join us.
