    JIMO... I have used carbon fiber rods... I can't think of what size is suitable of the top of my head, but you can get CF rod in lots of sizes in 3ft/4ft lengths.

    hi Dr. K. i wonder if you can assist me in doing an experiment to support my high voltage/low voltage argument?. i figure that you have all the gear and so could easily do a controlled and measured, structured experiment to verify/debunk the theory.
    all it needs is some high v setups and corresponding ESCs.

    the key is that each setup needs to draw the same relative C load from the batteries AND the ESC.

    i.e. if a setup is drawing 10C on a 1000mah pack and a 10A ESC then a comparison setup might be 25A on a 2500mah pack and a 25A ESC.

    the motors need to run in similar ranges also.

    please let me know if you're interested.
