    Bill,
With a couple of exceptions, not too many on WF understand the SSC combat program...I sure dont. The guys in Texas must have some answers or the guys that fly up at Laurel might be some help. I haven't messed with anything above 4s so I'm at a loss when looking at those numbers. Hope you get it figured out. Does look like fun...in a frenetic sort of way. Way to quick for my flying thats for sure.
Keep me posted on your progress with that. At least your'e still flying.

    Hey Bill
Don't know how I missed the message yesterday, but I think it had to do with some obnoxious messages being spread across the forum. Sorry you are having a tough time with the ESC and have read all of the replies. Just dont know enough about those hi voltage numbers.
Glad you are enjoying the MD plane...it really is pretty cool looking. I may have to mimic that on a big (97" ws) powered glider for better orientation...what a kewl idea.
I have still been uber busy with my work. Am about 30% ahead of last years inspections. Not sure why, makes the winter look better but almost 0 chance to build, fly, crash, rebuild...lol
Will have to get together sometime in the next three weeks or so after the fourth.

    Hey Bill,
Yes would have been good to get together with Weathervane (Andrew) and you at the Combat session, but had my list of things to do and unfortunately that was not on it. AS for Apprentice, funny you should ask because yesterday was the first flight. Had taken it and my Ryan STA up to Ohio to visit the inlaws and flew the Ryan first with Father and law on the buddy box. Didn't end so well but damageds are fairly minor, need to build a new motor mount and repair the cowl...all doable.
The Apprentice treated us much better and only needed a couple of clicks of left trim right out of the box.
Good luck with your combat program...does look like fun (or insanity, sometimes hard to tell the difference)

Bill, I wish you had stoped me and said hello at the combat event. It is always cool to meet people from here on WF.

I tell you, the electrics did a lot better than I thought they would. I never asked how much it cost. I did like the one that landed and was on fire.

Hey CC , sorry to have missed you guys. I went to Laurel to watch a combat contest. COOL!!!
It would be a whole new direction with a large price tag. But it looks like fun.

Most of those guys fly nitro there was one or two flying electric. All had the same frame. The rules say not more than a certain RPM, so how do I choose a set up to get below a given RPM?

    Bill,
Weathervane (Andrew) and I are getting together at the park where 100 meets 29. I think that is in your corner. Will be there tomorrow Am early before the wind picks builds. Stop by with whatever.

Wow, sorry to hear of that less than pleasant ending. Well, the learning curve is likely starting to flatten out. Glad you are getting back up on "the wire". Its like most everything else in life...just about the time you want to "pack it in" your'e given a fantastic day in the air where everything goes just right...
    suckered back in again, Yup!!
The foamie sounds like a good program in the interim and glad the LHS guy will buddy box with you.
Your Horizon story sounds like mine...sent one DX6 back for repair and in order to keep flying, a few days later, made a trip to LHS and bought another. The day after buying the new one the old one came back good as new....Bingo 20 model memory

    Hi Bill,
Hows things. Did you get your Pulse ready and the trim "taped" back on the Apprentice after your mach 1.5 adventure...lol....
Was up in WV for Easter at a retreat (in laws idea) and took my Ryan and ultra Micro P51. There was a really great field, about 1 1/2 foot ball fields square that offered a really good fly zone with good low cut grass for landing. Had a blast.
STill working on a couple of projects and had a minor incident with one of the Tiger Moths. Back to the repair bench.
