Found a good glue for foam

I've tried a lots of glue on foam. I found this glue while putting in a new bath floor. 800 by tarkett. I got it at a flooring store so I don't know who else carries it. It's a little salty [$40 a gal.] You had better have it where you want it because it ain't coming apart. It won't attack blue foam, dollartree, depron, or that dense white epp that my new tub was packaged with. It's a contact adhesive that works great on balsa also.

Some other good contact adhesive foam glues are:

Beacon Foam Tac - Available at places like RCFoam.com and filadelfosrc.com

Beacon 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue - Can be found at craft stores like Jo-Ann's, Michael's and Hobby Lobby (craft store, not RC store)

Both of these work great on all kinds of foam, and you don't have to go out and buy a 1 gallon bucket. ;)

I have used Beacon's Foam Tac glue and can confirm it is good. I have snapped off the both wings of my HZ Champ at different unintended landings. Used the Foam Tac to glue the wings back and the HZ Champ still flys as well as before - except for it's scars.:D

I think it is about $5 a 2 oz bottle. It is great stuff.

Glue for foam

I recently discovered Welders glue. It works great on EPP, and you can make excellent hinges with it. There are videos on youtube to show you how. Great stuff!

UHU Glue found at crafts stores such as Michaels works very well on foam. It dries clear and makes for a very clean appearance. It's in a bright yellow bottle. About $4 for a decent quantity. Flexible also. Have used it for a number of builds and no problems at all.

Compatible Foam and Glue: Owens Corning Insulation sheets available in 4 foot by 8 foot sheets in ¾ inch and ½ inch thickness are available at Home Depot. It comes with a very thin film that peels off easily. The foam cuts nicely using sharp knives as well as table saws and band saws equipped with good blades. Tite Bond II wood glue produces strong joints when bonding the material and provides much longer working times than does hot glue. Assembly can made without fighting the limited working time associated with hot glue.
