E-Flite RTF Blade SR120 Micro FP Out Of Box To Hover
 

Just received the SR120, always wanted to do this, opened the box as received and popped in the batteries even used the uncharged lipo for a brief hover test. and it indeed flew ! RTF version, used the simplistic transmitter, hover was solid with zero trim as from factory settings ! So they do indeed flight test these, at least this one prior to shipment. Anxious for battery charge and will try some outside flight weather permitting.

This one has a 12 inch main blade, so larger than some of the micro series, perhaps filling the gap for a slightly larger model. Belive I'm going to enjoy this one.

Heavens no, I've hovered some of the CP Helis, but this is a maiden for me on the SR120, very nice heli.

Still suggest a coaxial at the start, then if you like the smaller models, this one is a great choice, as small enough for indoors when your ready.

Only couple flights with this one so far but certainly like it.

This one is defintely a stable flyer, here is the hand catch, not a great pilot here by any means tho flown FP models prior, this ones great.. Not suggesting you try this, but shows how docile it can be. Have turned it correctly but fail in the clip as still need work there, it will hold position very well, nice model.

Is normal for the heli to lean to the left on lift off, so touch of horizontal right stick needed, don't trim for take off but for inflight only. This one is being very stable todate. Here's a clip trying to show left lean on take off. If your first fixed ;pitch perhaps shows what to expect.

More fun in the living room, abit more turns going on as need work here. Like ths slight size on this one compared to other micros, both indoor and calm outdoor flights. It continues to handle very well.

Was on my 2nd battery and made it the first try, however first battery everything went wrong, even nearly lost a fitting, noticed a wobble but fortunately found it where the heli fell on first attempts. Be careful as good way to damage a perfectly great heli, hah.

Mine tends to scoot to the right, just as I power up. I think I need to be a little more agressive getting the copter up off the floor.

Usually stick correction required on lift offs, eventually will get the feel for this, more throttle sometimes works and right amount of stick movements, just takes practice. Remember trim is set while inflight not lift off. You can note trim required and set trims before the next flight.

First attempts on flying a heli can be challenging. It takes loads of patience, a step at a time, this was the procedure I learned to fly the more aggressive CP, hold position before lift off, infact you don't lift, simply hold that tail, eventually perhaps the bunnie hops, also throttle off before impacts saves damages, these lighter helis are tuff, but cut that throttle before hitting things.

Here is perhaps lesson one before the hover, use as many batteries as it takes, your learning.

This one responds solid for getting the feel on orientation, yet to master a CP on 360S, but piece of cke with this puppie.

This one continues to be of my farovrites to fly, indoors and outdoors with lighter breezes. Find it more solid than some of my other models and quite predictable. After your coaxial, this one is a nice step up for more authority, but the orientation is easier with type as holds positon very well especially learning the nose in hover.

Just got my 120SR. Thanks for this video. A great tutorial for a guy going from a co-ax to an FP,

120SR another favored flyer, also holds positions quite well. Lift off is the key, norm for them to dip to the left on initial lift off, brief right stick required, again you want things trimmed once airborne, take note then land and make adjustments.

Now waiting for Blade Nano CP X, micro CP, doing Sim practice, I'll certainly check its durability, fingers crossed this puppie will improve my limited success rate with these response flyers.

Ok, seen the vids on YouTube, put lotsa money into this lil bird, completely custom now, or will be in a couple of days. Now I'm getting the Tx, so what works for 3D flight??? Need some help in the tricks dept. I'm good at flying her, now I want her to fly me... Help???
