New Released Heli-Max Novus 200 FP Heli Maiden Hover
Does have a different feel than my other micro birds but this is a larger 200 size. Failed to spool up correctly until I fully charged the 1000 MA Lipo. Noted a rocking motion till fully spooled. Quickly leveled to a nice hover. Can't wait to open it up more as in the gym. Looks promising. This at first to be above the beginner, but when ready to move up somewhere prior to CP. Was very close to trim right out of the box!
Like the snap close battery hatch, and pivoting flybar. |
If we have access to the gym will try some maneuvering with the Novus 200 and make a brief video.

Looking forward to an update on this heli. Reviews abroad are non-existent so far. An outdoor report would even be better!

Can easily do that when the weather breaks as usually March winds todate. Was excellent handling in the gym, its nearly a beginners heli as quite solid inflight. If your use to flying inside, will hover right in the living room, but easier with more room.
Do have a youtube of nice flight in the gym just check wnppmy. |
nice little heli :)

Has some weight to it and handles medium breezes, clip with building breeze, later to reach 20 MPH.
Local PD pass end of clip, practicing toe in or face on, maneuvers better than shown when less windy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lZzZ...e_gdata_player |
A fun manuver take off and landing on car top, watch the elevation easy to drop below the edge can damage and miss target area, was a breeze coming towards camera but not bad, have lost a heli doing this, go easy.

I bought one but it will probably be a while longer before I try to fly it. I gaining confidence with my MSR2. It will be nice to have a Heli I can fly outside.
|
For a fixed pitch find it rather docile, hovers well and great to learn orientation, it is abit heavier than other models so can damage, reasonable thumps will tolerate well, jiust take your time.

Found rather amusing took off yesterday from pavement, about 5 feet away our other flier quickly picked up his plane and frantically moved it further out of range, gads I replied no confidence, he isn't a Heli flyer as yet, course safety is the rule.

This one can be a stable flyer, easily flown scale. Enjoy it's hold positions making orientation less demanding as fewer inputs. Just flew outside, sorry no video, but earlier indoor gym flight was similar. It will take breezes up to your skill level.

Here's an outdoor video using $14 spy camera on my cap. Apologize for wrong date as just flew today, some breeze from the East, still easy flight.

I recall seeing this manuver years back done at contesting, a slow walk around covering all angles, correctly the Heli stays in position as pilot does the 360 walk.
Rather futile attempt shown but managed a few shuffles around without crashing, least made it around, fun to try. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZfoX...e_gdata_player Again successful only when copter stays stationary no drifts, also the pilot does a slow deliberate walk around, not a side walk shuffle, lol. |
This one is my easiest to fly at my current level of flying, amazingly stable, fantastic on homing in orientation. Tho FP nice beautiful scale manuvers, it is prone to injury as not a featherweight heli, on my 2nd one from returns even flys more steady. Now looking at the micro cps, forget the genius tho out awhile less than 1 minute flights undersized battery, Blade nano just released, on the way, fingers crossed. Back To Sim.
Short hover clip, am amazed it hovered 2 minutes. The Genius micro cp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wmZ0...e_gdata_player |
