Royal/Marutaka F4U .60 (Electric Conversion)
 

Hi folks, this is my 1/8 scale Royal/Marutaka F4U-1D built first as a glow powered plane and then converted to electric. The only part of the original kit I used was a new aluminum cowl I got off of ebay, other than that it is a scratch build.

Features include:
Scale functioning tail wheel with tail hook
All 8 gear doors work
Robart mains with struts
2 functioning bomb/tank pylons
sliding canopy with full cockpit and pilot, all designed and made by me
glassed with z-poxy and 3/4oz cloth
Rimfire 120
100amp ESC from HobbyPartz
6S 4400mAh Sky Lipo

Just a great flying plane, very gentle stall straight ahead, no bad habits.
