I just orderd a gws slow stick the plane req. is 1300 to 1800 3cell. I was looking at the zippy 1800 in the hobby king us warehouse with a 40c rating the 25c is on backorder so would 1800 40c be ok or should I wait and get the 25c.

Those would be just fine. That is plenty of battery for the slow stick you could use smaller capacity too.

might check valuehobby.com their g-force batteries are very good and their shipping is dirt cheap.

one thing you might check is the weight of the 25c and the 40c. those 40c's might be quite a bit heavier. don't know much about the slow stick but if weight is a concern....

I run my Slow Stick on 1300mAh batteries of various C ratings.

New ? on a battery for the slow stick I'm going with a 1300mah 11.1 20c or 25c or either a 1500mah 25c would a 20c be ok for this plane. The 1300 3s 20c is 6.99 or right at 10.00 for the 1300 or 1500mah 3s 25c.

The higher the C rating the more punch the battery has. 20C would be fine

Thank you BB Corvette I ended up getting 1300 3s 25c,s from HK usa warehouse. I hope they get here soon they were instock. This was my first time ordering from the US warehouse. My first order took too long for me to get here Hong Kong but the price was good and the orange rx has worked great for over a year.

mclarkson is your slow stick brushless? I went with the 1300 lipo's in hopes they will fit my small cub as well.

I live 3 hours from the us warehouse and it takes 2-4 days for me.to get the stuff lol

By the web site 2 to 3 days but it showed 4.99 shipping and at checkout they charged 6 something for shipping. Have you order from heads up rc? Their in Fla. 4.00 to ship my slow stick & I just order propellers 2.00 shipping & both were here in 3 days. I read about them here on wattflyer.

Yes. It uses a 2410-09Y brushless outrunner from HeadsUp.

Full setup:

• 2x HK15168 Coreless Analog 8g servos (Elevator/Rudder)

The only thing I don't order from heads up everytime is batteries. I bought 4 1800 mah 3 cells from them about this time last year. The price between hobby king and heads up was the same once you factored in shipping, and this was before I knew about the us warehouse.

If I was only going to pick up one or two batteries in the future, heads up 100%.

Next time I have some real money to blow on batteries, I'll go hobbyking, but probably only for batteries.

Very nice mclarkson! hayofstacks I just order to batteries for mine 1300 3s 25c from HK USA shipping is still higher than heads up. It showed 4.99 but at checkout HK charged 6.84 and I don't think shipping is going to be as fast as Heads up. I did order a HK orange rx 6ch receiver and it's worked for over a year with no problems just took awhile to get it. I hope to fly my SS soon the weather has got me grounded today is 10 to 15 mph winds but 74 for a high.

I realize you just purchased the 3cell 1300mah-20c........

However, 2cell 7.4v 1600mah 20-40c batteries work pretty good as well and are a little less weight than the 3cell........I personally prefer the 2cell due to weight and size......it's thinner and longer making the CG adjustments a little more flexible.

I've now built 5 Slow Sticks, two I still own the others were for friends........one still has the stock GWS EPS 400D brushed motor and brushed ESC with a APC 10x5 prop. I use the 7.4v 1600mah and get 30 min's of flight time....mostly cruising at high altitude.

The 4 others all have a 20amp brushless esc's, Heads Up E-545 Power Up 400 Sport Outrunner brushless motors, APC 10x5 props (with prop savers) and all are running the 1600mah 7.4v 2cell 20-40c batteries. Two of them have ailerons, the other two rudder only. Depending on flying conditions and style, flight times have varied from 15min's to 35min's all on four.

The only mod I make to this battery is replacing the bullet connectors with Deans.....I've tried various other connectors and for me Deans are the least problematic.

pizzano thank you ! I bought the slow stick with the gws brushless motor combo from heads up rc. I as well use the deans plugs I have used deans for years with my rc cars. I took the esc & receiver from my cub for the slow stick to get it in the air till I get another esc & receiver in a week or two. I was not sure on the 20c so I got the 25c. My stick was tail heavy so I added weight which I hope to take off with the new batteries.
