New website for all things SEFF will be live by the end of the week, www.SEFFweek.com, registration will open shortly after site is launched.

Great news is that the full field will be back in use this year. LAst year part of it was shut down due to the lake that Mac put in and the seeding of the ground on the flight line. I was there back in October and it was already looking awesome. It is going to be better than ever before with the new grass.

They are still working on the flight line layout but the 3d line will move back tot he west end of the field like in years past. Will be more of the traditional SEFF layout with changes incorporated to allow full access to the lake for float flying.

Vendors will be setup on the Flight line this year as opposed to the past location in the pole barn. This will give people more access to the vendors. I just hope it doesn't take up too much room for the average Joe... Will be interesting to see this.

More news to follow but that is what was released tonight!

Thanks for the update Bill. Vendors on a three to four deep super crowded flight line should be interesting. Unless they put them in the empty store area front and center.

I think they said they would be to the immediate right and left of show center. on the flightline.

I'm with you that the flightline is already crowded enough and to mark off spots for all the vendors will force more people off the front row of the flight line. Will be intersting to see how it works out.

The pole barn area is going to be setup with tables and chairs for the food vendor so no R/C vendors will be in that area at all.

It will be cool to see Cliff, Luke, and the other vendors out there with the rest of us though. It will allow them to spend more time enjoying SEFF as well as the rest of us!

True, plus there really weren't a lot of vendors there last year. Seems like the cost got too high for a lot of them. Kinda like the rise in camping prices!! ;)

There were a lot less vendors last year. Would love to see it get back to what it was like at the first couple of SEFF's I went to.:cool:

Bill it will all be new to me, so you, and the others can tell me about the good old days of how SEFF used to be.:D

Gramps, just visit the SEFF archives, our members have done some great coverage over the years.

Gramps they are all in their own way, not any better or worse, just different sometimes.

This will be my 7th and I have very distinct memories of each and every one of them.

It's funny because sometimes people will say "well that was before you started coming: lol and reminisce about other things that are SEFF.

You are going to have a blast... no doubt about that.:cool:

Don every year I follow along on the SEFF adventures here and the other sites. Looks like a blast! I am looking forward to living it instead of following along on a thread wishing I was going.

The new layout with vendors will be interesting. It's getting hard for vendors to attend any events. The extra cost to travel and setup added to expected show discounts and tighter margins with more internet competition makes it hard to afford.

Hope to see more there this year though!

It will be interesting, hopefully it will draw more as in years past.

I just hope they don't take up to much "front row" space causing us guys to have to set up in the back so to speak. That is my only concern, other than that I think it will be really cool.

Making sure people have to walk through the vendors to get to the flightline...Hopefully down towards the sport area where we'll be there won't be any to obstruct us...

I think in front of the shop at show center would be a good place for all of them. I have always felt they wasted all that space.
