New Field Stand
 

I wanted a new field stand since I don't fly nitro anymore and I don't need a large heavy stand for starting the engine anymore. I wanted something portable and light as well as cheap. I'm just too cheap to buy a ready built stand. I found this at Home Depot today, it is a Rigid portable work stand and it was only $30. It can raise in height from 26 inches to 40 inches and even has hooks to hang weights on the base if you want to add more stability. I put my old Robart styrafoam stand on it for now and bolted it on. I will eventually build a wood stand for it. The only drawback that I can see is that you have a little wobble because it does fold and the bolts need a little play to do this. I don't think that it is excessive though. I can use it at home to support projects on my table saw as well so I think that I will get my moneys worth out of it.
