Tic Toc Tic Toc!!!

One of the positive things of all this sequester nonsense is that 2 days of my trip won't have to be vacation days! LOL!:D

gramps2161 03-02-2013 01:32 AM

Dang all my time is going to be vacation hours. Good thing is I earn 5 hours a week of earned time even if I am not working.:D

Oh ya forgot that goes into effect! I was reading about the Blue Angels they are going to have to cancel about 12 shows this year because of it. That's only the tip of the iceberg though.

crash_out 03-02-2013 01:38 AM

My vacation is already put in for the trip. Only have 5 actual working days to take off...

firemanbill 03-02-2013 01:38 AM

Did you see the flyover at the Daytona 500??? Neither did anyone else. They cut that out and all the Air Force base air shows are cancelled. We had ours scheduled for June and it was going to be awesome. not anymore...:(

gramps2161 03-02-2013 01:48 AM

Yup I read today all non essential flying will be stopped. Did you see the business section they just closed the deal for a big contract for the F-35 before the budget cuts took effect this one is safe. They cannot change it because it is obligated dollars for a contract.

I am having to take off extra days because of the driving I have to do. Three extra days so a total of 8 days for me.

But everyone of them is going to be worth it for the experience!

gramps2161 03-02-2013 03:41 AM

Sure will be worth it total of 12 days away from work that's including the 2 weekends. I just finished registering my B-day present the Garmin it is all updated and ready to get me to down your place as soon as I get your info.

gramps2161 03-02-2013 03:43 AM

That would be leg one of my journey to SEFF heaven and pixe dust. I think that clown guy is getting to me with some of his mojo dust.:Q

firemanbill 03-02-2013 03:48 AM

Our SEFF experience starts from the time we leave the driveway. We had so much fun on the drive down last year texting back and forth and calling Laine every 10 minutes it seemed.

weathervane 03-02-2013 01:04 PM

Geeeezzzzzz, I thought we were friends. You didn't call me. LOL :D:D:D:D Bill is right. Part of the SEFF fun is the road trip down and back. Keeping track of who is where and much progress everyone is making. :<::<::<:

Is it bad that I'm packing already???

Seriously, since I was probably going to have to take my Mustang, I wanted to do some trial fitting to make sure what I needed was going to fit.

Yep, it is.

weathervane 03-04-2013 09:19 PM

Not at all. I applaude you for the effort.

crash_out 03-05-2013 12:06 AM

Thats true, but I have a tradition of never taking the same vehicle to SEFF two years in a row, lol.

firemanbill 03-05-2013 02:19 AM

Well I would say I still have stuff in the trailer from last year but...

had to take it all out when we traded it in!:D

weathervane 03-06-2013 01:23 AM

I have started to pack my pop-up. Not a lot of stuff. Just some small odds and ends that allways seem to get left behind.

Test fit of the new rig. I'm REALLY going to like this!!!

Vintauri 03-06-2013 02:32 AM

I'd start packing if it were not for the 8" of snow we just got. SEFF can't come soon enough!

Well okay maybe I do need a couple more weeks to get planes prepped and fresh batteries ordered!
