1/4 scale SE-5A
Just won a 1/4 scale balsa usa kit on ebay, by the time shipping
is done I might save 10.00 lol.
Should still be interesting :)[popcorn]
Now what to do for power, thinking OS 120- kidding
18-20 lbs- suggestions with Life batts ?
I have no suggustions for powering this baby , just think its great that you got one . The SE5a being my favorite plane , I wish I had everything to be able to own and fly the big SE5a .
But I am not a fan of your Sopwith Snipe , not a pretty plane to me .
But I will be glad to see pics of both of your WW1 fighters , and the flight videos also .:D
Do not think badly of the low number of postings , here on the WW1 forum , most of the guys are still off for the summer
I just found this thread, Do a search to find out what others have done,
This is my old Balsa USA 1/4 scale SE5a that I converted to electric power. I'm running a Turnigy 160 motor with 2 5cell liPo packs connected in parallel. I'm using a 120 amp speed control and swinging a 22X10 wooden Zinger propeller. So far it looks like its suing about 38amps per minute to fly the aircraft, so I'm very happy with the performance.
