Hitec (Multiplex) Weekender F-4U Corsair

Has anyone picked up any of these warbirds yet from the Hitec Weekender series?

I was at the Arizona Electric Festival this past weekend, and the Hitec guys had a booth across from mine, and they had these cute little warbirds on their table, a P-51 Mustang, an F-4U Corsair, and a Hawker Hurricane.

I spent the weekend watching them fly, and they seemed to be very nice flyers. Everything I saw was with the stock power systems. They fly on 2S 1000mAh packs, so batteries are cheap.

Yesterday I decided to drop a Benjamin on one, and got the Corsair. I grabbed the bottle of CA and had mine together in under 30 minutes. It's billed as "Plug-In To Go", or "P2GO". All that is required is a receiver and a battery.

I did not have any 2S lipos on hand, so I didn't get to fly it yesterday, but I should be able to get something this weekend and will give a full flight report.

So, are these just too new that not many people have them yet? I like them in that they are in between what a UMX and ParkZone model would be. I like the smaller stuff, but the UMX to me just seems too small. These look to be just right.

Pat that's a nice looking Corsair, and I never saw any ads, or hype on the other forums either for this series of planes. Hope you do a review on it. I added a link to the Hitec website figure it would make it easier for folks to see it. The rest of the series are good looking too.

Yeah, these are pretty new, so not much hype on them yet. But I have to say, for their size they are very well detailed!

I got to see all three in action this past weekend and they all fly great.

I will see about doing a review on the Corsair.

They are sweet looking planes. Multiplex usually has nice quality planes.

Multiplex makes some great planes and they go together so easy. I have three of there planes and never a issue with the quality, assembly, or the way the planes fly.

Seem funny that they don't promote their new products more. I guess that job trickels down to the retailers.
